Last night I had Dawn over. We went to a movie then circled back to my house to have a sleepover. It took me a while to find anything out about Dawn herself because the first two hours we discussed everything BUT her. Her friends, their problems, their lives, their broken hearts, their feelings... But nothing about Dawn. And I realized something. Dawn's greatest down fall is the best thing about her! Dawn is an amazing friend! She is the person you can talk to about anything. You can use her in anyway. Ask her for anything. She will be there rain or shine to help. The problem is that's all her friends want. "Help. Help. Help." She isn't taking any time for herself because her heart and soul are invested in other people who are simply abusing her kindness.
Friendship is the twin sister of love. It's a two way path that needs to be supported by both parties in order to be maintained. Dawn hasn't had that support. Her friends are falling apart so much so they didn't even know Dawn was struggling with things in her own life. She needed a break and that was obvious.

Dawn is an incredible person. She's so much more than a shoulder to cry on! She loves Pepsi and puppies, the color black, doo wop, heavy metal, and alternative, helping people, singing, writing, and of course being a great friend! She deserves better than to deal with everyone's problems! It is time that people like Dawn stop struggling with others and start living their lives! So, @Dawn, you can always count on me for night out, a shoulder to cry on, and a little optimism because I'm here for you! I have no doubt that you are here for me too! I had a great time girlie!
Love always,
Maria <3 :)
